Going Gaga in Germany
Germany, with its history, literally started from scratch after Hitler’s regime. However, their past never brought their spirits down. Instead, it pushed them to do even better. Now, Germany is considered as one of the richest countries in the world, with unparalleled architecture and modern culture.
If you would ask me if Germany is suitable for a family vacation, I personally think that it is not. However, if you would be going there with a group of friends, you will definitely have fun. Every. Single. Night.
One of the most famous things about Germany is, no surprise with this, the night and morning life. Yes, night and morning. Drinking in Germany seems to be a 24 hour thing since most Germans love drinking. In fact, drinking is deeply embedded in their culture that beer is necessary for all celebrations. Germans are heavy drinkers, with only 5% non drinkers in total. As evidence to how much Germans love to drink beer, they are the ones who first celebrated Oktoberfest, a month long beer drinking celebration.

Another reason why people travel to Germany is because of the number of vineyards producing quality wines in the country. Most of these vineyards are located around Frankfurt, making it one of the main attractions in the area. Wine plays a major part in the exporting of German products.
One more place to visit in Germany would be the first class museums, offering you a glimpse of the history of the German people. From early dwellers to the Nazis, the museums of Germany will walk with you down memory lane and educate you on what happened to the world a few years back.
Of course, who would forget Germany’s mouthwatering sausages? The Frankfurters, a very famous sausage, was named after a city in Germany so you can be assured that you will never go hungry… if it is okay with you to live on hotdogs for a while.
Because of the weather, Germany is best visited during the summer season, unless you plan on going skiing. The winters in this country seem to be harsh, sometimes reaching to the point of snowstorms, cancelling flights to and from specific airports.
So if you and your friends are looking for somewhere to spend your school break, grab your passports and head on straight to Germany. Remember, make sure you are ready for alcohol filled nights ahead.
