If you want to experience three cultures all at the same time, I suggest that you go and see what Switzerland has to offer. This country exudes culture and traditions by three nations, namely France, Italy and Germany, so a trip to Switzerland is like being in all three countries.

However, you might think aloud and say “Switzerland, are you kidding me? What will I do there, milk cows?” Although Switzerland does have amazing dairy produce and acres of land dedicated to herding animals, it boasts of a lot more.

If you are curious how skiing began, then I would be glad to impart that knowledge to you. Because of the thousands of meters tall Alpine mountains, the Swiss experimented on playing with what they have. They went up the mountains one cold winter day and thought, “Hmm, what do we do today?” They started skiing and the rest is history. If you are in for some serious winter skating, Switzerland will not disappoint you. Not one bit.

If you want to experience different cultures and specialties, every city in Switzerland has something unique to offer. Lucerne is most famous for its covered bridges, an amazing architectural sight that will surely get you clicking. If your type of architecture is something a little bit more homey, head on to Grimentz and take a peek at timber houses sitting one after the other, protecting the inhabitants for the cold winter air. Of course, in a country famous for dairy produce, who would forget cheese? Gruyeres has some excellent selection of fine cheese that comes in a wide variety.

It is also interesting to note that Switzerland is a melting pot of different nationalities. Because of this fact, there are a couple of different languages that are widely accepted and spoken in Switzerland. These languages include Swiss German, Romansch, French and Italian. If you are familiar with any of these languages, then going around Switzerland will not be too much of a problem for you.

Best enjoyed in winter, the ski parks of Switzerland offer various courses and trainings for aspiring pro skiers. In summer, however, you will be delighted by the picturesque beauty of the country, with its colorful blooms that seems to have their own lives. Leaves transform magically into a variety of colors, making them look like colored cottons hanging on branches.

Ah… Switzerland. A beauty that did not let civilization dictate what it should be. A country that protects its environment as much as its people. Living here is like living in the Garden of Eden, fresh, unperturbed, scenic, heavenly.
